Raffi Shahinian

In Raffi Shahinian's 20+ years of Guitar and Music experience, he has contributed to, written, and produced hundreds of songs. Currently he dedicates his time and artistic energy to his SLC-based experimental pop duo Raffi & Ischa (FKA "MiNX")  with bandmate Ischa Bee. 

Exposed to a wide variety of music due to an Armenian-American upbringing, Raffi grew up listening to acts like Paul Baghdadlian along with American cultural influences like Guns N Roses and NWA. Raffi's love of music inspired him to pick up a guitar at age 13 and never put it back down. In addition to his abilities on the guitar, Raffi has also developed his skills producing electronic tracks.

After having completed a west coast tour in the summer of 2017 with MiNX, Raffi continued promoting the 2017 release  of  '"Being MiNX'' . From 2018-2019 Raffi & Ischa performed at venues ranging from the Utah Arts Festival to the Urban Arts Festival. During the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, Raffi worked with his favorite artistic collaborators, Ischa and SB Dance promoting outdoor professional theater with SB Dance's Live Curbside Theater.   In the summer of 2020, Raffi performed over 90 shows with SB Dance's Curbside Theater throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Raffi continues to perform with SB Dance Curbside Theater as it is one of his favorite ways to share his love of music and performance.
